Privacy Policy
How we collect, use and protect your information.
1. Who we are
SocialAct is run by [legal name of the company or organization], based in [country]. In this policy, “we” means SocialAct. You can reach us through our contact page.
2. What we collect
Account details you give us: your name, email, password (stored encrypted), city, the goals you choose, your skills and availability, and anything you add to your profile.
What you post: actions you share, photos, comments, reactions and messages.
How you use SocialAct: campaigns you view, save or apply to, so organizations can see how their campaigns are doing. We count these without names.
3. How we use it
To run your account, show you campaigns and people that match your goals, deliver your messages, keep the community safe, and send you the notifications you’ve chosen in your settings.
We do not sell your personal information, and we don’t show advertising.
4. What others can see
Your public profile and posts are visible to everyone, unless you make your profile private in Settings. Messages are only visible to the people in the conversation.
Organizations you apply to can see your profile and the note you send them, even if your profile is private.
5. Forms run by organizations
Some campaigns ask you to apply on the organizer’s own form, such as Google Forms or their website. Anything you enter there goes to that organization, not to SocialAct, and their privacy policy applies. We only record that you clicked Apply.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your account information while your account is open. When you delete your account, your profile, posts, photos, comments and messages are deleted straight away, except where the law requires us to keep something longer.
8. Your rights
You can see, download, correct or delete your information from Settings at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have more rights, such as objecting to how we use your data. Contact us to use them.
9. Children
You must be at least 16 to create an account. Photos of children can only be shared with permission from a parent or guardian.
10. Changes to this policy
If we make important changes, we’ll tell you on the site before they take effect.
